[WIP] HS - Button Tights Set 5/10/2015

Hello folks,

At long last, I've stole some time to do what I love, modding. This set is a something I've considered making a while ago. The set itself is highly inspired by one of my prior mods, the Workin It Set and from a conversion that my mod partner, Kosu has converted to the Sui-Cup body. This set is to be considered my first set trying a completely new texturing technique. One that I must confess has potential but one that I will have to work on. 

I will confess in advanced, that this set is not what I'd consider to be my best set but it is a good looking set considering that it's been my 2nd set in about a year :(. (This is shown in the shoes as they look rather blocky and not greatly textured.

The mod itself has been created for both the SuiCup and the SuiGuts body. I am often saving the popular FCPA body for last. Generally, this is because it's not hard at all but it's 10x easier to convert the SuiCup and SuiGuts together as their body structures are more or less the same. Also, because the SuiCup lower body doubles as the FCPA lower body - female variant, there's not need to rush it.

Sad note is that I am going to ween back into the TS version slowly as doing the TS version is not hard, but I want to work on making the bulge weights better and also considering adding a semi erect penis that curves to the side like the one in the below picture. -This is what my friend, Kosu converted for me :).

But we'll see, I know that the Curled Penis is very popular and I've even seen other modders take that route on some of this TS clothing mods, I'll probably go with that and consider the slightly erect penis mod making an occasional appearance but no promises. I am going to ease up on those because last time I made too many of those and actually found myself constantly behind, even though at the time I had about 12+ hours a day guaranteed to me to mod. Now a days, I only have 2ish a week if lucky and sometimes I squeeze whatever time I can get to mod.  None the less, more about the set.

Sui Guts Version

 

The set itself is cute and looks great when all in one piece. This set is a nice spring set and kind of inspires me to make more spring like clothing. I don't think I've ever done a slutty summer dress - something I'll have to keep in mind.

 The shoes in this picture is slightly fixed compared to the ones shown in the SuiCup version. I'll probably re do the mapping for the shoes and either add more to the base shoe and fix the front platform of the heal to have a better more contiguous mapping. These shoes are the first shoes in a very long time. With the exception of the Dragon Heels (my first closed toe heals).

 If I am not lazy, I will add a little simple button to this shoe too. I typically try not to deviate too much from the mods I make once I share pictures as I feel putting 8+ additional hours into the same mesh, I might as well make a new one.

 The pants are nice and I love the silver buttons lined through the front. It'll look great on a TS when it's made. I'll have to find a way to make it look really nice and realistic. More on that when the time is right. I also broke a rule that I was reluctant to do in the past; I've cut the body out of the pants, so don't expect a transparent version. I've noticed that this not only saves space on the mod but it also saves you from clipping; making for a much better mesh over all. These tights don't have the same weird stretching to the side issue that the Workit Tights had. But we'll see what happens when I make a Transsexual version.

 I might cut the leg mesh a little more but I am rather reluctant because it bothers me enough as it is that when the camera accidentally zooms into my character's body, you can just see her tights inside but nothing more. The last thing I want is being able to see the nothingness that lies underneath those pants when panning the camera outside her body.

 The bracelet and necklace are pretty much the same mesh just re-fitted to fit the neck as opposed to the wrist. This is a VERY simple accessory. I wanted to make a simple necklace that I've always wanted to, but I'll save that for another set I have in mind.  These accessories were made taking the simplest of steps. Selecting the wrist and taking a two loop sets from there, duplicating them and then resizing them. After that, I took 3 primitives, the cube, the sphere, and the cone, and just placed them around the loop and called it an accessory. Gave them that glow and I'm al set.

 The tops, was something I've always wanted to make but never needed to. While simple, this time provides minimal coverage of the breast yet tight enough to be convincing that it's a good fit. Though, I can assume if there was a big Areola mod for Oblivion (I'd love to know if there is personally) then it will peak from the tight fitting shirt.

Hey guys,

Firstly, I'd like to apologize for the lack of productions in my mods lately. I think my last post was on February 28th or something like that. The reason is, because I've been going through a lot of changes in my real life which has left me with very little time for modding. But more on that later.

Paid Modding/ Permission addition

I know this issue has been resolve...for now. None the less, I still wanted to point out my stance on the topic of paid modding. Actually, this compelled me to make this post. As you're most likely aware Valve/Betsheda pretty much wanted to put out paid modding on steam. Granted, from what I know it's was meant for Skryim with possible carry over to Oblivion (I have not much time to read the very specific, so sorry). This aforementioned may not be as accurate to what has happened but none the less, I want to make a point clear on this. Even though it was cancelled, it might creep up again, as money always does.

I think that paying for mods is a terrible, horrible, and horrendous idea. Granted, I've recently been told that technically (in some TOS) Bestheda technically owns all of our hard work and can do as they please with it. While that is technically true, I believe the authors of the mods, especially original content, do and morally reserve the right to control how/ where their content is used. IE ( Not wanting it used in certain types of mods or posted to certain sites, or even used at all). With that being said, while my mods have changed to open source, meaning that you can use them. I do ask, that my content is not used for any other game than the game that it is intended for. Most importantly, I ask that you DO NOT use my resources at all, not my meshes, my bodies, nor my textures for paid mods if it every comes up. I've put in a huge amount of hours to provide FREE content to players that wanted something a bit different than your usual lore and politically correct content. I ask that my work is respected and that I am respected for the effort I put in my work. DO NOT SELL MY WORK! It is my work and I do have creative rights to claim this. I also will go on record and say that if this becomes true in the future, I will stop doing mods publicly and only give my future works to select people.

To close off the portion about paid mods, the above is pretty much exactly why it's a bad idea. Someone could just take another persons hard free work and sell it for their own greedy profit.

My Future in Modding/ What have you been up to, Sparkles?

I do confess, I've been very slow to mod and it might be like this for a while. It sucks for me tbh, because I've got a lot of stuff I want to put in game but a little time to do so.I've recently started working on a very nice armor and never got past the upper chest armor due to timing in RL vs Game Life. I have been also in talks with another modder and good friend about modding together. This friend has actually been doing a helluva job too. My friend has essentially taken my mantle on modding TS content and my bodies as well as another body that's ultra curvy. For this, I am very  happy for, as I've anticipated this collaboration for a whole but lacked the fortitude to ask.

With regards to my modding, I am going to definetly post less for a while. But upon returning (hopefully in July), I will be focused on making better content than before. I will probably recreate some older content and kind of give new life to them. I am also still working on improving. I've been slow though and will probably start from scratch (hence the re release of old content - slightly modified with better weighting etc). But I often feel that a fresh start is a great start. I've thought about it alot too, and since my friend likes the Sui-Cup, it'll most likely be back in the mix. I will not do the Sui-Guts/ FCPA release of the modern clothing in the exact form but might pull up something, as I do want to do another pencil skirt and I think it'll look perfect on the Sui-Cups thick and smooth curves.

Anyway, just a little update. I am still here and promise to continue to bring unique TS and Female content to Oblivion.

Screenshots above are mostly credited to my friend who I am still in discussion with regarding the collaboration. But as you see, my friend has very exciting stuff to bring to the table and even converted these sexy tights and shoes to the Sui-Cup body!

Fan Weapon V1 and Bracelet 2/28/2015

I am still here for those who worried I disappeared again. As I've noticed in many scenarios, I am a part time modder due to lots of real life things going on. I've also been in talks with another modder regarding a little change I plan to making towards my modding style but will keep that under wraps until everything is set in stone.  Also, another thing that's taken my time from modding was that I've been playing around with a few texturing techniques. I've done a lot of debating on if I am happy about how I texture or not and found that I am not. So, while I am still modding, I am doing more playing with texturing. I'll be honest though, if I could I'd have someone else do the textures for me, but I don't have that option, so I am working on a few changes for that, one of while will help my textures be more seamless.

But since I have been gone, I did make a couple of things, a wep/ shield (Fan sword) and a bracelet.

Here are some pictures:

The bracelet is a simple gold bracelt but I did add details that are not shown in the screenshots. In the inside of the bracelet I made a rubber like material and for those who will like to examin full content of a mod will not this.

The major work on this post is the weapon. The shape is not exactly what a Chinese Fan looks like (a real one is more round) but it does have the fine detail to it. As you see I went for a Chinese theme on the pattern, I was also going to include a dragon on the fan fabric but instead decided against that. I figured that having it imbedded by the handle was more than enough dragon on the fan itself. I've also added an engraving on the bladed part of the fan so it ads a little flavor to the touch of the weapon. This texturing is another method I've tried but it is not the one that is really occupying me as much as some of the others. Ill get there soon enough though.

WIP Dragon themed outfit(?) 1/26/15

So lately, I've been really tempted to make a Qipao, but for some reasons the mood to do so has never truly kicked in. I am the type that typically mods by my mood. So most likely fullback panties and super short skirts kick in. Today's no exception. Last night I was thinking about what I wanted to do mod wise as I've done only 3 meshes since I've come back to modding (A skirt, a bra and a pair of panties). This was nothing notable either, just something I did for the heck of doing so.

Here's where things get interesting. I've decided that I need to get my flow back, and after making the panties (Sorry but they will not be released in the current state as they exhibit an something that I am sure no one would really like that others might not).

None the less, I've spent the majority of Yesterday and Saturday playing in Blender to make this. The skirt and Corset are so far only available in one color. I really got into the red dragon theme. Though, when I read about how Chinese find the Dragons as a Legendary creature in a sense, it really got me going. Also, the color red is associated with good luck in Chinese culture as it is associated with mostly good. (Good fortune, joy and often associated with holidays and in many cases gifts are wrapped in the red as well.) It is also my color of choice so if anyone has ever noticed, I always have a red somewhere in my mods. None the less, this is not important but it is because red is hot.

The Corset

 The corset was inspired by my old mod and my obsession with thick hips and thighs and small waist. As it is well known, the original use of corsets, before being tossed in the sex industry as a form of erotical sexual masochism, whips and chains, was to train the woman's or man's body to form a smaller waist this could be for both physical and medical reasons. The corset style now adays is more fashionable and in theory, I've used it for that. It looks good and is not finished yet. I was tempted to make the waist of the SuiGuts even smaller when wearing this set, but I figured it would cause compatibility issues and I am trying to keep my current mods fitting with my older ones, though in release, I may make a 1 piece as a special outfit and it might even have its own weighting to it to give it more of a traditional feel to it. I guess that explains why I like it. Corsets were once used to obtain the figure that I like so much. Don't be surprised if you see more of them in my future mods as I get better. This is technically the 2nd one to date.

The Skirt

This skirt is just my personal tastes. I like very short skirts, especially in a world where there are no rules specifically stating indecent exposure. Heck, at this moment the skirt has 30 armor. It is another thing I am considering too. If I should either make the same outfit(s) one version as armor and the other as clothing or if I should just make all outfits into an armor version that's armor. It might be a nice change but no word yet on it - remember feedback is always considered. The skirt is short enough that you can see her butt checks a bit but long enough where her panties are not just showing without effort - though will show with little effort. Love fantasy! No rules to make skimpy armor super protective. Though one wonders, in a world with lack of resources to make full armor, you'd think they'd make with they can with minimal usage of limited resources - skimpy armor explained? :D

Shoes

I've made the shoes with difference in mind. I'll be honest, they are not at all my best pair of shoes. Actually they are not even perfectly even and I took a couple of short cuts that I partially regret, but I feel that this is good as I needed experience making closed toed heels. Ideally, making closed toe shoes may be thought of easy for some and maybe it is, but for me it's not. I have a strange style of meshing the shoes that are more conducive of making open toed shows. That and I feel that making open toed shoes are great because they allow the toes to show and after a girl spends hours getting a pedicure, why would she not want to show off her toes? I know I would. None the less, I could of used already released meshes, as there are many of them like this out there; most specifically the platform heels - which seem to pop up everywhere. Granted, I am going to be reworking and adding more already made resources, I just get a much better joy out of modeling them myself, even if they don't look as good.

Overall, the outfit is actually far from done, but I will keep at it. One thing that I need to do is rework the weighting. I feel like a lot of it is not really done well and I might make some minor touch ups to the corset especially. I will also make panties for this. I do currently have panties for my version, but again, it is not what others would want, so I'll have to work something out.

I also recall that some time ago, I took a poll of if people want more deferential textures or more color combos. According to the poll, it seems that less is more. People prefer me to make more quality textures than just recoloring them. I agree with this because it will allow me to improve my texturing. Currently, the textures are not 100% seamless and might not be. I am always seeking a good way to get seamless textures. I'll also see about fixing the unsightly seam from the legs to the feet. There is one that exists in the non combined version.
